The NATA Safety 1st PLST program is unique in that it is not just computer based training. In order to achieve PLST Certification a student must also undergo hands-on training provided by your local trainer and pass a series of practical exams.
The PLST includes 75 specific hands-on training topics that are broken into sections that match the online training modules. We recognize that some locations may not perform certain services that are listed in the hands-on training requirements, such as de-iceing, so you do have the option of marking those items as Not Applicable (N/A). You can visit this article to learn how to mark hands-on training items as complete or as N/A: Marking PLST Hands on Items as Complete or N/A
There are 8 PLST practical exams, one for each module in the program. This article will show you how to use the PLST practical exams: Marking PLST Practical Exams as Complete or N/A
NOTE: Hands-on training and practical exams are required items for both the PLST initial and recurrent program!
