The NATA Safety 1st Training Center uses blocks to allow training managers to control the speed that students move through their training. A student is not allowed to move onto the next block until all courses in the current block are complete.
REMEMBER: a course is not complete until all of its components are completed. This may include the lesson, exam, OJT, and practical exam!
Completing the lesson and exam for all courses in a block is not enough to allow the student to progress. As the administrator, you must document any OJT and or practical exams as well. Also, remember that you can create custom tracks with as many or few blocks as you want.
Example 1: You could create a custom track with all courses in one block. This will allow the student to progress through the content whenever they want regardless of completion status.
Example 2: You could create a custom track that has only one course in each block. This would be the most restrictive option, dictating exactly what the student can do and preventing them from advancing until an administrator marks of any required OJT or practical exams.
